How do I enable silent mode on my Arlo Doorbell?
Silent mode allows you to temporarily disable incoming calls, Arlo Chime melodies, and/or traditional chime rings on your Arlo Essential Video Doorbell or Arlo Audio Doorbell.
To enable silent mode:
- Launch the Arlo app or log in to your Arlo account at my.arlo.com.
- Tap or click Settings > My Devices.
- Select your Arlo Video Doorbell or Audio Doorbell.
Alternatively, tap or click the Settings icon for your Arlo Video Doorbell in the Devices screen. - Tap or click Silent Mode.
- Move the Silent Mode slider to enable or disable silent mode.
When Silent Mode is enabled, all of the doorbell-press notifications are disabled by default. If you want your chime to ring or receive a phone call when someone presses your doorbell, you can move the individual sliders to enable each feature. When the toggle is green, the feature is enabled.
- Incoming Call. Your mobile device will receive a call when someone presses your Arlo doorbell.
- Traditional Chime. The chime that you wired your Arlo doorbell to will ring when someone presses your Arlo doorbell.
Note: This option is only available if your doorbell is connected to a traditional chime. - [Arlo Chime Name]. If you paired an Arlo Chime to your Arlo doorbell, the Arlo Chime will ring when someone presses your Arlo doorbell.
Note: When Silent Mode is enabled, third-party smart home assistants—such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant—are disabled for your Arlo doorbell.
